Our hearts are heavy at the passing of Nancy Marie Nance; dearly loved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome (Jerry) and Dolores Schlichting and her sister, Laurie Murphy. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Nance; son, Jeff Nance; brother, Randy Schlichting and wife Dorothy; brother, James Schlichting and wife Janice; sister-in-law, Christine Herman and husband Fred; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Wilkinson and husband Kenny; brother-in-law Jim Nance and wife Debbie; many nieces and nephews who loved and adored her; and her faithful dogs, Patsy and Loretta.

Nancy earned her Angel Wings on January 31, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 14, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas. Nancy married the love of her life, Jack Nance, on December 20, 1968. As Nancy would say of their marriage of 48 years, it was "a great ride." They were blessed with their son, Jeff. Nancy was a wonderful and dedicated mother and loved Jeff beyond measure.

Nancy was an expert at making a house a home with her decorating, organizing and cooking skills. Her door was always open; she loved to entertain friends and family. Nancy loved to have fun. She loved their place in the Texas Hill Country, where she also enjoyed the company of friends and family. She had a very large circle of friends who so loved her. She was always thoughtful and unselfish; always taking care of others.

We will celebrate Nancy's life on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 3pm to 6pm at The Houston Farm and Ranch Club, Salt Grass Building at 1 Abercrombie Drive, Houston, TX 77084. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houston Hospice.

Condolences can be posted on her tribute page at:  IntegrityFuneral.com.
Nancy, we will always miss you, but your smile, your laughter, your wit, your kindness, your warm heart and your courage will always be with us and in our hearts.
