Lawrence Ethridge "Larry" Taylor was born March 14, 1950, in Travis County, Texas.  He was the son of Thomas Elmore Taylor (1928-2010) and Clara Ann Biscoe Taylor (1928-1993).

Lawrence Taylor, age 48, of Round Rock, died Tuesday, September 1, 1998.

He served in the USAF during the Vietnam era and was currently attending the University of Texas.  He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church of Georgetown.  He loved the outdoors, especially bird watching and he held close to his heart Austin Habitat For Humanity.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Debra Taylor; daughters, Laura Grana and Rebecca Grana; father, Thomas Taylor; brothers; Dr. and Mrs. Kent Taylor, Cecil Taylor, Bryon Taylor, and wife, Debbie; sister, Patsy Taylor, and husband Burk; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Taylor.

The family will have visitation from 7:00 to 9:00 Friday, September 4, 1998.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 1998, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Chapel, 145-1 North IH35, Pflugerville, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Austin Habitat for Humanity.

George Satterlee

Larry was another of my 'tennis' teammates. He took the game a lot more seriously than either Maury Jones or I did. He had a serve that was untouchable (at least by me, and at our level of competition).

I remember him as what I guess today we call a free-spirit; he always seemed to be a little non-conformist, but I guess that is what I liked about him.
