Leeland Knight
1950-2013

Leeland Brooks Knight was born July 2, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas.  He was the son of Thomas Dewitt Knight (1922-2008) and Henrietta Jannette Brooks Knight (1918-1997).

Music was a large part of Leeland's life.  At Spring Woods High School he was in Chorale and a Safari Singer.  As a senior, he was president of the high school band.  

Leeland married Rebecca Anne Richey (1955-1998) on Oct. 19, 1974 in Harris Co., Texas. 
 
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998 and by his son, Justin Brooks, 29, in 2008. 
Leeland passed away July 27, 2013, in Bay City, Texas.  He was 63 years old.
